Tradicion revista Tradicion Revista is the only regular magazine that covers the art and culture of the Hispanic Southwest. The magazine is published quarterly. The magazine was founded in 1996 as a place to explore both current events as well as scholarly research that is being conducted in the field. The magazine regularly contains lists of current exhibits and shows, profiles of contemporary and traditional artists, as well as book reviews. The readership of the magazine is about 10,000 and it reaches people all across the country, Puerto Rico, Germany, Netherlands, and Japan.

Spanish Colonial Art Society The Spanish Colonial Arts Society was founded in Santa Fe in 1925 by writer Mary Austin and artist/writer Frank G. Applegate. Its purpose was to preserve and perpetuate the Hispano art forms that have been produced in New Mexico and southern Colorado since the region was colonized by Spain in 1598.

Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico; Arte y Cultura

A collector's vision of Puerto Rico The art and artifacts in this Website present a sampler of Puerto Rico's history and culture over centuries. They are part of a vast collection created by Teodoro Vidal, who began a personal quest in the 1950s to document the people, history, and culture of Puerto Rico from the 1700s to the present. Mr. Vidal donated much of this collection of more than 3,200 artifacts to the Smithsonian Institution in 1997.
